JOE BRYANT, GENERAL MANAGER

Joe is the Broadcast Media Instructor at Mercer Island High and the General Manager of KMIH- 889 The Bridge. Joe worked at KISW, KZOK, and KJR co-hosting the popular Bob Rivers Show, which aired in Seattle for 25 years. He started teaching at Mercer Island High in 2015, Bryant says he has the best job in the world and loves sharing his knowledge of the entertainment and media industry with the next generation of great broadcasters.


JON KASPRICK, CHIEF ENGINEER

Building the Bridge is an ongoing project and Jon is the person in charge of planning improvements and keeping us on the air. He is also the Chief Engineer at KGRG and an Instructor at Green River College.

NATALIE WOODS, COMMUNITY OUTREACH DIRECTOR

Natalie is a Broadcast Media Instructor at Mercer Island High School and brings nearly 20 years of broadcast journalism experience to KMIH. She has worked as a news reporter and producer in television and radio stations throughout the U.S., in Russia and the United Arab Emirates. Natalie is able to use her broadcasting expertise, along with her involvement in the schools and youth organizations on Mercer Island, to develop student broadcasters and enhance the station’s presence in the community.




Lauren Schechter, Underwriting & Strategic Partnerships

Lauren got her start in radio at UC Santa Cruz's station, KZSC and has since worked at non-commercial stations like, KALW in San Francisco, KEXP and Nathan Hale's High School station, C89.5. Lauren graduated with a Master's in Teaching from University of Washington in 2024 and is thrilled to be a part of the KMIH team!  Outside of radio, Lauren loves to swim in Lake Washington and cook delicious dinners to enjoy with family and friends.
