The 88.9 Team dreamed of putting on a new and exciting event this year–and we made it happen. This is the moment you’ve all been waiting for... Mercer Idol 2020 is live and in action.

But what exactly is Mercer Idol? If this is a question you’ve been asking yourself, look no further.

Mercer Idol is KMIH’s American Idol spin-off. Currently, we are collecting online submissions from high school students who have any kind of musical talent and want to share it. Entries will be accepted until February 24th. Then, there will be a live competition on April 2nd in which all of the acts perform. It’ll be an event at Mercer Island High School that the whole community is welcome and encouraged to attend. The winner will be audience-voted. The grand prize is opening for Mostly Music in the Park, a concert series put on by Mercer Island Parks and Recreation, and other exciting rewards from local businesses!
